가세로 태안군수가 민선 8기 4년차를 맞아 지역 현안 사업의 원활한 추진을 위한 국비 확보에 총력을 기울이고 있다. 지난 7일 가세로 군수는 관계 국·과장들과 함께 정부세종청사를 방문하여 행정안전부 김민재 차관을 만나 주요 사업의 국비 지원을 적극 건의했다.

이번 방문은 지역 발전을 위한 핵심 정책들의 성공적인 추진을 도모하기 위함으로, 태안군은 사업 추진에 필수적인 공모 선정 및 정부 예산 확보를 위해 적극적인 대응책을 마련하고 있다.

주요 건의 내용은 ▲태안지구 풍수해 생활권 종합 정비사업 공모 선정 ▲전국 자원봉사자 연수원 건립 실시설계비 지원 ▲총 33억 원 규모의 특별교부세 지원 등이다. 특히 태안지구 풍수해 사업은 태안천 범람으로 인한 침수 피해 방지를 위해 총 431억 원이 소요되는 대규모 사업으로, 내년 공모 선정을 위해 강력히 요청했다. 또한, 유류피해 극복의 상징성을 지닌 태안을 '자원봉사 성지'로 조성하기 위한 연수원 건립 실시설계비 10억 원 지원도 건의했다.
