충남 당진시가 임업인의 소득 안정을 돕고 산림의 공익적 가치를 높이기 위해 ‘2026년 임업·산림 공익직접지불금(이하 임업 직불금)’ 신청 접수를 시작했다.

9일 당진시에 따르면, 이번 임업 직불금 신청은 오는 4월 30일까지 진행된다. 임업직불제는 밤, 호두, 대추 등 임산물을 생산하거나 나무를 가꾸는 육림업 종사자들의 노고를 보상하기 위해 마련된 제도다.

신청 대상은 2019년 4월 1일부터 2022년 9월 30일 사이에 임야 대상 농업경영체 등록을 완료한 산지를 소유한 임업인이다. 아울러 직전 1년 이상 계속해서 연간 60일 이상 임업에 종사해야 하는 등 일정한 자격 요건과 의무 사항을 충족해야 한다.

지급액은 경영 규모에 따라 차등 적용된다. 소규모 임가의 경우 요건을 만족하면 가구당 연 130만 원을 지급하며, 그 외 면적 직불금이나 육림업 직불금은 산지의 면적 구간별로 정해진 단가에 따라 지급 규모가 결정된다.

특히 올해부터는 임업인들의 선택권이 넓어졌다. 기존에는 제한이 있었으나, 올해는 직전 연도에 소규모 농업 직불금을 받은 사람도 임산물 생산업 직불금을 신청할 수 있게 됐다.
