충남 태안에서 유네스코 세계기록유산에 등재된 태안 유류피해 극복 기록물과 개인 소장자의 희귀자료가 공개된다. 

태안군은 3월 25일부터 6월 29일까지 만리포 해수욕장 인근 유류피해극복기념관에서 ‘유류피해 극복 기록물 개인 소장자 희귀자료 공개전’을 개최한다고 밝혔다. 

이번 전시는 2025년 유류피해 극복 기획전시의 일환으로, 2022년 ‘태안 유류피해 극복 기록물’의 유네스코 등재를 기념하기 위해 마련됐다.

전시에서는 개인 소장자 3인과 한국중앙자원봉사센터의 협조로 총 60점의 사진, 3건의 기록물(간판, 서류 등), 3건의 영상, 깨끗해진 태안 바다 사진 10점을 선보인다. 

태안군은 관람객을 위해 ‘태안의 기적 스티커북’ 이벤트 등을 준비하여 방문객들이 피해 극복의 현장을 생생하게 체험할 수 있도록 할 예정이다.

유류피해극복기념관은 매일 오전 9시부터 오후 6시까지 운영되며, 매주 월요일은 휴관이다. 입장료는 무료로 제공된다. 

군 관계자는 “이번 전시는 그동안 공개되지 않았던 개인 소장자들의 자료를 최초로 선보인다는 점에서 의미가 크다”며 “재난 극복 과정과 자원봉사자들의 숭고한 희생을 엿볼 수 있는 기회가 되길 바란다”고 전했다.

태안 유류피해 극복 기념물은 2007년 대형 유류유출 사고와 그 극복 과정을 담은 22만 2129건의 기록물로, 2022년 유네스코 아시아태평양 지역목록에 등재됐다. 

현재 총 19개 기관 및 개인이 이 기록물을 소유하고 있다.

The exhibition will present a total of 60 photos, 3 records (signboards, documents, etc.), 3 videos, and 10 photos of the cleaned Taean sea, with the cooperation of 3 private owners and the Korea Central Volunteer Center.

Taean-gun plans to hold events such as the ‘Taean Miracle Sticker Book’ for visitors so that they can vividly experience the scene of overcoming the damage.

The Oil Spill Overcoming Memorial Hall is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day, and is closed every Monday. Admission is free.

A military official said, “This exhibition is significant in that it is the first to showcase private collections that have not been made public before,” and added, “We hope this will be an opportunity to see the process of overcoming the disaster and the noble sacrifices of volunteers.”

The Taean Oil Spill Overcoming Memorial Hall is a collection of 222,129 records that contain the large-scale oil spill accident in 2007 and the process of overcoming it, and was listed on the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Regional List in 2022.

Currently, a total of 19 organizations and individuals own these records.
