태안군이 먹거리 안전망을 확충하기 위해 저소득 취약계층을 대상으로 지원 사업을 실시한다. 

군은 건강한 식생활을 지원하고 지역 농산물 소비를 촉진하기 위해 올해 총 사업비 7400만 원을 들여 ‘농식품 바우처 사업’을 본격적으로 추진한다고 10일 밝혔다.

농식품 바우처 지원 사업은 생계급여 수급가구 중 임산부, 영유아 및 초·중·고등학생이 포함된 가구에 바우처(이용권)를 지급하여 쌀, 채소, 과일, 계란 등 신선한 국내산 먹거리를 구매할 수 있도록 지원하는 복지와 농업을 융합한 정책이다. 

지난달 첫 지급을 시작으로 12월까지 지원되며, 가구원 수에 따라 월 4만 원에서 18만 7천 원까지 차등 지급된다. 수혜자는 지정된 판매점에서 국내산 신선농산물을 구매할 수 있다.

특히, 바우처가 일반 체크카드 형태로 지급됨에 따라 이용자가 보다 쉽게 이용할 수 있고, 업주도 별도의 정산 과정 없이 수익을 확보할 수 있어 이용률이 활성화될 것으로 기대된다. 올해는 전자 바우처 시스템이 개선되어 실시간 잔액 확인과 사용 내역 조회가 가능해져 사용자 편의성도 크게 향상됐다.

군은 최대한 많은 군민이 혜택을 받을 수 있도록 연중 신청·접수를 받는다. 생계급여 수급가구 중 임산부 및 미성년자 자녀가 있는 가구는 신청서 등 서류를 지참해 주소지의 읍면사무소를 방문하거나 온라인로 신청하면 된다.
