서산소방서(서장 최장일)는 5일 동절기 수난사고 대응 능력 강화를 위해 서산시 해미면 산수저수지에서 동계 수난구조훈련을 실시했다. 

이번 훈련은 결빙된 수면 환경에서 발생할 수 있는 추락사고와 얼음 붕괴 사고를 가정해 진행됐다. 구조대원들의 현장 적응력과 구조 숙련도를 높이는 데 중점을 두며 입·출수구 확보훈련으로 안전한 구조 기반을 다졌다.

더불어 얼음 밑 잠수 적응훈련을 통해 저수온과 저시야라는 극한 환경에서도 침착하게 대응할 수 있는 역량을 강화했다. 

특히 실제 결빙 환경에서 훈련을 진행함으로써 구조대원들이 위험 요소를 몸소 체감하며 대응 절차를 숙달하는 데 큰 의미가 있다.

최장일 서장은 “겨울철 저수지와 하천 결빙 구역은 사고 위험이 높아 지속적인 훈련이 필수”라며 “어떠한 상황에서도 신속하고 안전하게 인명을 구조할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다. 

이번 동계 수난구조훈련은 혹한기 재난 대응력을 강화하는 중요한 계기가 될 것으로 기대된다.
