충남 서산시가 올해 봄을 맞아 시민의 쾌적한 생활환경 조성에 나선다. 시는 12일부터 31일까지 관내 방치된 생활 쓰레기를 집중 수거하는 ‘새봄맞이 국토대청소’를 추진한다고 밝혔다.

대청소 기간 동안 시와 관내 기관, 시민단체 등 1천여 명이 도로변, 공원, 하천, 시내 등 다양한 지역에서 대청소 활동을 벌일 예정이다. 

특히, 26일은 ‘일제 대청소의 날’로 지정되어, 수석동 일원에서 시민과 사회단체 회원, 공무원 등 80여 명이 환경정화 활동에 참여할 계획이다.

이날 대청소에는 수석동 통장협의회, 수석동 새마을남녀지도자협의회, 수석동 주민자치회, 바르게살기운동수석동위원회 등 여러 시민·사회단체가 함께 참여할 예정이다.

유청 서산시 자원순환과장은 “지난 겨울 방치된 생활 쓰레기를 처리해 시민의 거주환경을 개선하고, 불어오는 봄바람의 향기를 시민이 만끽할 수 있도록 국토대청소 추진에 최선을 다하겠다”라고 말했다.

이번 대청소를 통해 서산시는 시민들이 쾌적한 환경에서 생활할 수 있도록 노력할 예정이다.
