충남 홍성군이 내포신도시를 첨단 AI 뷰티 산업의 중심지로 키우기 위한 발걸음을 본격화했다. 

홍성군에 따르면 산업통상자원부가 주관한 ‘2026년도 제1차 바이오산업 개방형 생태계 조성 촉진사업’ 공모에서 홍성군의 ‘AI 맞춤형 뷰티기기 고도화 및 글로벌화 지원’ 과제가 최종 선정돼 국비와 도비 40억 6천만 원을 확보했다고 3일 밝혔다.

홍성군은 충청남도, 건양대학교 산학협력단과 힘을 합쳐 2030년까지 5년간 총 51억 5천만 원을 투입할 계획이다. 

사업은 내포신도시 첨단산업단지를 거점으로 AI 기반 뷰티기기 관련 핵심 인프라를 구축하고, 기존 제조 중심 산업을 데이터 기반 고부가가치 산업으로 전환하는 데 초점을 맞춘다.

특히 내포신도시 내 ‘바이오 의료기기 해외진출지원센터’를 활용해 유망기업의 제품 개발부터 글로벌 인증까지 전 과정을 밀착 지원한다. 다인종 데이터셋 구축, 글로벌 규제 대응, 실사용자 기반 제품 실증 등 수출 특화형 지원 프로세스를 통해 국내 기업의 해외 진출을 적극 돕는다.

이와 함께 기존에 추진 중인 ‘바이오 의료기기 제로트러스트 기반구축사업’과 연계하여 시너지 효과를 극대화하고, 내포신도시를 단순 주거지를 넘어 첨단 지식산업 글로벌 허브로 육성하겠다는 전략이다.
