최민호 세종특별자치시장이 국회 입법 단계에서 난항을 겪고 있는 ‘행정수도 건설 특별법’의 조속한 처리를 촉구하며, 행정수도 완성을 위한 전방위적 관심을 요청했다.

최 시장은 31일 시청 대회의실에서 열린 확대간부회의에서 지난 30일 국회 국토교통위원회 법안심사소위에서 특별법 처리가 무산된 것에 대해 깊은 유감을 표명하며, 이 사업이 단순한 지역 현안을 넘어선 대한민국 균형발전의 핵심임을 분명히 했다.
