충남 예산군이 관내 경로당 8곳에 태양광 설비를 새로이 구축하며 에너지 비용 절감과 복지 환경 개선에 나선다고 9일 밝혔다.

군은 총 4,344만 원의 예산을 투입해 ▲상성2리 ▲상항리 ▲녹문리 ▲황계리(풍암) ▲무봉리 ▲상몽2리 ▲상장1리(도랑골) ▲역탑2리 경로당에 태양광 발전 시스템을 설치하는 등 올해 10월까지 모든 사업을 완료할 계획이다.

이번 사업은 고령층 이용률이 높은 경로당의 운영 부담을 줄이고, 동시에 쾌적한 이용 환경을 조성하기 위한 복지 정책의 일환이다. 특히 매달 고정적으로 발생하는 전기요금 부담을 덜어줌으로써 경로당 운영의 효율성을 높이는 효과도 기대된다.
