장애와 비장애의 경계를 허물고 모두가 평등한 일상을 꿈꾸는 화합의 장이 대전 동구에서 열렸다. 

대전 동구는 15일 동구아름다운복지관에서 대전시지체장애인협회 동구지회(지회장 김연숙)와 동구아름다운복지관(관장 최재천) 주관으로 ‘제46회 장애인의 날’ 기념식 및 ‘복지관 개관 9주년 기념행사’를 성황리에 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이날 행사에는 박희조 동구청장, 오관영 동구의회 의장, 이장우 대전시장을 비롯한 주요 내빈과 장애인 가족, 지역 주민 등 약 1,000여 명이 참석해 성황을 이뤘다. 

참가자들은 장애인의 날이 가진 본래의 의미를 되새기며, 지난 9년간 지역 복지의 거점 역할을 해온 복지관의 생일을 함께 축하했다.

기념식은 장애인들로 구성된 난타팀의 역동적인 식전 공연으로 문을 열었다. 

이어 '장애인 복지 증진 유공자 표창, 지역사회 공헌자에 대한 감사패 전달, 장학금 수여' 순으로 진행됐다. 

특히 행사장 주변에는 다채로운 체험 부스와 문화 공연 등 부대 프로그램이 마련되어 장애인과 비장애인이 자연스럽게 어우러지는 풍성한 축제의 장이 펼쳐졌다.

올해 행사는 ‘당연한 일상, 모두가 누릴 수 있도록’이라는 슬로건 아래 진행됐다. 

또한, 장애가 벽이 되지 않는 포용적 공동체를 구현하자는 강력한 연대의 메시지를 대내외에 선포했다.

최재천 동구아름다운복지관장은 개관 9주년을 맞이하기까지 아낌없는 성원을 보내주신 지역사회에 깊이 감사드린다며, 앞으로도 장애인이 지역사회의 당당한 일원으로 통합될 수 있도록 맞춤형 복지 서비스를 더욱 강화하겠다고 강조했다.

박희조 동구청장도 장애인 권익을 보호하고, 사회 참여를 가로막는 문턱을 낮추기 위해 앞으로도 실효성 있는 정책적 지원을 지속적으로 확대해 나가겠다고 약속했다.

Daejeon Dong-gu announced that on the 15th, the “46th Day of Persons with Disabilities” commemoration ceremony and the “9th Anniversary Celebration of the Welfare Center” were successfully held at the Dong-gu Beautiful Welfare Center. The event was organized by the Dong-gu Branch of the Daejeon Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities (Branch President Kim Yeon-suk) and the Dong-gu Beautiful Welfare Center (Director Choi Jae-cheon).

The event was a great success, with approximately 1,000 attendees, including key dignitaries such as Dong-gu Mayor Park Hee-jo, Dong-gu Council Chairman Oh Gwan-young, and Daejeon Mayor Lee Jang-woo, as well as families of persons with disabilities and local residents.
