충남 보령시가 주최하고 보령축제관광재단이 주관하는 ‘제25회 무창포 신비의 바닷길 축제’가 19일부터 사흘 동안 무창포해수욕장 일원에서 열린다. 이번 축제는 바닷길 개막 행사를 비롯해 체험과 공연, 먹거리 콘텐츠가 어우러져 관광객을 맞이할 예정이다.

축제 첫날에는 해변광장에서 개막식이 마련되며, 이튿날 저녁에는 바닷길을 따라 불빛을 밝히는 횃불 체험이 이어진다. 행사 기간 내내 맨손 물고기잡기와 전통 어업을 소재로 한 마당극, 거리 퍼포먼스 등이 펼쳐지고, 어린이와 가족을 위한 마술 공연과 캐릭터 이벤트도 운영된다.

해양생태 교육과 친환경 실천을 강조한 프로그램도 주목된다. 해녀 문화와 해양 생물을 주제로 한 전시와 체험이 진행되며, 국가유산청과 연계한 해녀 사진전시도 함께 열린다. 대형 씨푸드 파티존에서는 대하와 조개 등 지역 수산물을 맛볼 수 있고, 씨푸드 쿠킹클래스, 조개소원 적기, 리사이클링 체험 등 참여형 활동도 마련된다.
