충남 홍성군이 민선8기 취임 3주년을 맞아 형식적인 기념식을 벗어나 실질적 지역 상생과 내부 소통에 집중하는 의미 있는 자리를 마련했다. 

군은 4일, 지역경제와의 동반성장을 실천하고 남은 1년 군정 운영에 대한 새로운 각오를 다지는 다양한 행사를 진행했다고 밝혔다.

이번 3주년 행사는 예년과 달리 소규모로 간소화해 예산을 절감한 대신, 군청 상록회가 주도해 지역 화훼 및 양계농가의 농산물을 구매해 직원들에게 전달하는 방식으로 구성돼 실질적인 지역경제 기여와 직원 사기 진작이라는 두 가지 가치를 동시에 추구했다. 전달된 품목은 지역산 절화 꽃과 훈제계란, 수박 등으로 구성됐다.

하루 일정은 '출근길 직원 격려와 지역 농가 물품 나눔', ' 3주년 기념식 및 군정 성과 보고', '언론인 간담회', '복지시설 점심 봉사활동' 등으로 다채롭게 채워졌다.

이날 오전 8시 30분, 군청 보호수 앞에서는 이용록 군수를 비롯한 간부 공무원들이 출근하는 직원들에게 감사와 격려의 메시지를 전하며, 지역 농가에서 구입한 꽃과 계란을 직접 배부했다. 이어 오전 9시, 군청 대강당에서는 군정 발전 유공 수상자와 직원 등 약 200여 명이 참석한 가운데 기념식이 개최됐다.

특히 이날 행사에서 주목할 점은 언론인 간담회다. 군은 지역 출입 기자 30여 명을 초청해 민선8기 3년의 성과를 공유하고, 자유로운 질의응답을 통해 군정 방향에 대한 투명성과 책임성을 강조했다. 

이 자리에서 이용록 군수는 향후 군정 운영의 핵심 전략으로 '모두가 살기 좋은 미래 산업도시 기반 조성', '지속 발전 가능한 스마트 농어촌 모델 정착', '천년의 이야기가 있는 역사·문화관광 특화도시 구축', '행정중심 복합도시 육성', '복지 사각지대 해소', '군민이 행복한 안전 도시' 등 6대 전략을 제시하며 “군민과 약속한 ‘따뜻한 동행, 행복한 홍성’을 실현하기 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
