충남 보령시가 오는 7월 31일까지 지역 주민의 건강상태를 종합적으로 진단하기 위한 ‘2025년 지역사회건강조사’를 본격 추진한다. 

이번 조사는 질병관리청과 보령시가 공동으로 수행하는 국가승인통계조사로, 지역보건법 제4조에 근거한 법정 절차에 따라 매년 전국적으로 실시되고 있다.

보건 정책의 실효성을 높이기 위해 필수적으로 수집되는 지역사회건강조사는 지역 주민의 건강수준을 체계적으로 분석하고, 지역별 보건의료 수요에 맞춘 정책 수립의 근거자료로 활용된다. 특히, 각 지방자치단체가 자체적인 건강증진 전략을 마련하는 데 중요한 기초자료로 기능한다.
