세종시가 지역 청년들의 구직 부담을 덜고, 안정적인 사회 진입을 돕기 위한 실질적인 지원에 나선다.

이를 위해 세종시와 세종일자리경제진흥원은 오는 4월 21일부터 30일까지 ‘2024 세종시 청년 구직활동 지원사업(청년희망내일카드)’ 참여자를 모집한다고 18일 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 구직 또는 창업을 준비 중인 청년들에게 월 최대 50만 원씩 6개월간 활동비를 지원해 경제적 부담을 줄이고, 자기계발에 집중할 수 있도록 돕는 것이 핵심이고, 지원 대상은 총 110명 규모다.

활동비는 ‘청년희망내일카드’에 매월 초 포인트 형태로 지급되며, 카드 전용 복지몰에서 도서·교육·건강관리 등에 사용할 수 있다. 만약 청년이 현금 결제로 비용을 지출한 경우, 해당 영수증을 제출하면 현금 환급도 가능하다.

특히 이번 사업에서는 구직 활동 도중 조기 취업 또는 창업에 성공할 경우, 남은 활동 기간에 따라 최대 150만 원의 ‘성공금’도 추가로 지급된다. 단순한 활동비 지원을 넘어 실질적인 사회 진입을 유도하는 장치다.
