충남 금산군이 354억 원 규모의 지방채 발행과 관련해 제기된 책임론에 대해 해명하고 나섰다. 

군은 국가 세수 감소와 지방교부세 축소로 인해 불가피한 결정이었다며, 필수 사업 추진을 위한 조치라고 강조했다.

특히, 군은 "2024년 국가 세수 감소로 인해 지방교부세가 큰 폭으로 줄어든 상황에서, 필수 사업을 차질 없이 진행하기 위해 지방채 발행이 불가피했다"고 25일 보도자료를 통해 밝혔다. 이번 해명은 지방채 발행이 역대 최대 규모라는 점에서 일부 지역 주민과 언론이 제기한 책임론에 대한 답변 성격을 띠고 있다.
