유원희 국민의힘 천안시장 예비후보가 22일 문화도시 관련 공약을 발표했다.

유원희 예비후보는 이날 “천안은 비약적인 발전은 했으나,문화 불모지, 문화 빈곤지역이라는 한계는 벗어나지 못했다"며”, "문화예술전문가답게 다양한 문화 및 천안의 정체성을 찾을 수 있도록 하겠다"고 밝혔다. 

유 후보 공약을 보면  삼거리공원내 궁궐복원, 버드나무 거리조성, 천안시화 변경, 천안 12경의 조정등을 통한 천안 명소 육성 등이다.

유 후보는 부족한 문화시설 보완을 위해 “천안 명동거리내 도시재생사업과 연계한 천안미술관건립, 구 도심중 행복극장을 설립 시민들이 직접 참여하는 창작공연물들을 공연하겠다"고 약속했다.

또, 청소년들 문화 창작을 위한 공약으로 “천호지 뚝방길에 문하의거리를 조성하고, “천안시립청소년교향악단”과 “천안시립청소년국악단”, “천안시립청소년무용단” 창단 등을 제시했다.
