계룡시장 선거에 출사표를 던진 더불어민주당 정준영 예비후보가 계룡의 미래 20년을 책임질 청사진을 공개했다. 

정 예비후보는 12일 ‘시민과 함께 만드는 새로운 계룡’을 슬로건으로 내걸고, 도시 규모 확장과 행정 혁신을 골자로 한 첫 번째 공약 시리즈를 발표했다.

정 예비후보는 계룡시가 가진 ‘국방수도’라는 특수성을 극대화해 자생력을 갖춘 도시로 거듭나야 한다고 역설했다. 이를 위해 인구 7만 명 달성과 시 예산 5,000억 원 시대 개막을 최우선 목표로 제시했다.

행정 시스템의 대대적인 체질 개선도 예고했다. 정 예비후보는 시장과 공무원이 실무 현장에서 직접 민원을 해결하는 ‘현장행정 365제’ 도입을 약속했다. 이는 책상 위 행정이 아닌 시민의 삶 속에서 답을 찾는 원스톱 시스템을 구축하겠다는 의지로 풀이된다.

디지털 전환을 통한 행정 효율화도 주요 과제다. AI 기반 통합 행정체계를 구축해 행정 데이터와 민원을 유기적으로 관리함으로써, 전국에서 가장 빠르고 정확한 스마트 행정 서비스를 제공하겠다는 계획이다. 

이 외에도 주민자치회의 실질적 권한 강화와 정책 설명회 정례화를 통해 시민의 목소리가 정책에 직결되는 구조를 만들겠다고 강조했다.

정준영 예비후보는 “정치의 본질은 시민의 일상을 개선하는 것”이라며 “계룡의 변화는 정치인 혼자가 아닌 시민과 함께 완성하는 것”이라고 강조했다. 그는 이어지는 공약 발표를 통해 경제, 교육, 복지, 문화 등 각 분야별 세부 실행 계획을 순차적으로 공개하며 정책 행보를 가속화할 예정이다.
