충남 논산시가 갑작스러운 실직이나 질병 등으로 생계가 막막해진 가구를 보호하기 위해 긴급복지지원 문턱을 낮추고 현장 발굴을 강화한다. 

이를 위해 논산시는 보건복지부의 제도 개정에 발맞춰 지원 금액은 올리고 재산 기준은 완화해 복지 사각지대 없는 촘촘한 안전망을 구축할 방침이다.

긴급복지지원제도는 주 소득자의 사망이나 질병 등 예상치 못한 위기로 생계 유지가 곤란해진 저소득층에 생계비와 의료비, 주거비 등을 신속하게 지원하는 사업이다. 올해는 특히 고물가와 경제 위축 등 현실적인 여건을 고려해 지원 수준이 한층 강화됐다.

주요 내용을 살펴보면 생계지원금이 전년 대비 대폭 인상됐다. 1인 가구는 월 78만 3,000원으로, 4인 가구는 월 199만 4,600원으로 상향되어 위기 가구의 실질적인 생활 안정을 돕는다.
