충남 홍성군이 기후 위기에 대응하고 탄소중립 실현을 위하고, 대기오염 물질 저감과 친환경 교통 체계 구축을 위해 수소전기자동차 민간 보급 사업을 본격 추진한다고 10일 밝혔다.

이를 위해 홍성군은 올해 총 14대의 수소승용차를 보급할 계획이며, 대상 차량 1대당 3,250만 원의 구매 보조금을 정액 지원한다. 보조금 신청 자격은 신청일 기준 3개월 전부터 홍성군에 주소지를 둔 개인이나 기업, 법인, 단체 등이다.

신청 기한은 오는 11월 27일까지로, 예산 소진 시까지 차량 출고와 등록 순서에 따라 대상자를 선정한다. 특히 사회적 교통 약자인 취약계층(장애인, 기초생활수급자, 국가유공자)을 비롯해 다자녀가정, 생애 최초 차량 구매자 등에게는 우선 지원 혜택을 부여할 방침이다.
