더불어민주당 장종태 대전시장 예비후보가 경제부시장제 도입 등을 통해 ‘대전경제대전환으로 다시 뛰는 대전’을 만들겠다고 선포했다.

장종태 예비후보는 21일 대전시청 앞 보라매공원 평화의 소녀상 광장에서 지지자들이 참석한 가운데 대전시장 출마 선언식을 가졌다.

장종태 후보가 출마 선언 장소로 이 곳을 택한 것은 서구청과 대전시청을 잇는 곳이고 대전시장 도전의 시발점을 상징하기 위한 것으로 풀이된다.

선언식에서 장종태 예비후보는 "민선7기 대전시 허태정호는 잇따른 대전 패싱으로 ‘행정도시’, ‘과학도시’, ‘교통도시’로서의 정체성을 잃었다"고 비판했다. 

그는 중소벤처기업부의 세종시 이전, 대덕특구의 위상 실종, K-바이오랩허브 탈락, 그리고 대전도시철도2호선 트램과 유성복합터미널사업의 지지부진한 추진 등을 그 예로 들었다.
