충남 태안군이 싱가포르 현지에서 첨단 기술과 생태 공간 조성의 글로벌 우수 모델을 벤치마킹하고, 1조 원 규모의 해상풍력 투자 협약을 성사시키며 미래 성장 비전을 구체화했다고 5일 밝혔다.

태안군은 5일 싱가포르 현대차 글로벌 혁신센터(HMGICs)를 방문해 인공지능(AI)과 로봇이 결합된 미래형 모빌리티 생산 공정을 둘러봤다. 이어 ‘지속가능한 싱가포르’ 전시관을 찾아 친환경 에너지와 스마트팜 기술 등 도시형 혁신 사례를 확인하며 태안형 산업 육성 전략에 적용할 방안을 모색했다.

태안군은 이번 현장 학습을 통해 얻은 스마트 공정 운영 노하우를 이원간척지 및 기업도시 개발 구상에 반영해 첨단 산업 거점 조성, 경제 체질 혁신의 구체적 실행계획으로 발전시킬 계획이다.

같은 날 방문한 가든스 바이 더 베이(Gardens by the Bay)에서는 기후 적응형 온실, 플라워 돔, 수직정원 등 최신 환경·건축 기술이 결합된 복합 전시 시설을 둘러봤다. 

6일에는 유네스코 세계문화유산으로 지정된 보타닉 가든(Botanic Gardens)을 찾아 난초 정원 등 테마정원 운영 노하우를 견학 한다.

태안군은 두 식물원에서 확인한 생태 조경 기법과 식물 보전 프로그램을 꽃지1지구 공원 조성사업에 반영해, 지역 특성을 살린 명품 생태휴양공원으로 발전시키겠다는 구상이다.

태안군은 6일 신재생에너지 전문 기업 뷔나(Vena) 그룹 본사를 방문해 총 1조 원 규모의 해상풍력 발전사업 투자협약(MOU)을 체결할 예정이다. 

이번 협약을 통해 군은 해상풍력 기반의 재생에너지 인프라 확충과 친환경 산업 생태계 조성에 속도를 높일 방침이다.
