충남도교육청은 23일 도교육청 회의실에서 ‘제4기 충남학교협동조합협의회 위원 위촉식’을 열고, 향후 2년간 학교협동조합 정책 자문 및 운영 활성화를 위한 협의회 활동을 공식화했다.

이번 협의회는 학교협동조합의 자치역량 강화와 지속 가능한 운영 기반 마련을 위해 교육, 사회적경제, 대학 등 다양한 분야의 전문가 10명으로 구성됐다. 위원들의 임기는 2026년 3월 1일부터 2028년 2월 29일까지다.

이날 위촉식에서는 위촉장 수여 후 첫 회의를 열어 협의회 대표를 선출했으며, 이명희 노리아이 이사장이 신임 위원장으로 뽑혔다. 이 위원장은 앞으로 협의회를 대표해 회의를 주재하고, 정책 자문과 지원 등 실질적인 협동조합 활성화 방안을 추진하게 된다.

현재 충남에서는 총 25개 학교가 학교협동조합을 운영 중이며, 이 중 22개교는 교육부 인가를 완료했다. 단순한 매점 운영을 넘어 학교 카페, 생태교육, 방과후 프로그램 등 학교 특성과 지역 여건을 반영한 다채로운 형태로 발전하고 있다.

김지철 교육감은 “학교협동조합은 교육과 지역사회를 잇는 중요한 매개체로 자리 잡고 있다”며 “위원들의 전문성을 바탕으로 학생들이 협동의 가치를 배우고 민주시민으로 성장할 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

한편, 제4기 충남학교협동조합협의회는 앞으로 △학교협동조합 운영 내실화 △정책 개선 과제 발굴 △현장 의견 수렴 및 자문 등 실질적인 지원 활동을 이어갈 계획이다.
