행정안전부 이북5도 세종사무소가 이북도민과 북한이탈주민이 서로의 상처를 보듬고 끈끈한 유대를 다질 수 있는 뜻깊은 동행의 장을 마련했다. 

이북5도 세종사무소는 지난 18일 충청남도 금산군 일원에서 두 단체 간 소통과 화합을 위한 ‘가족결연 역사문화탐방’을 성공적으로 실시했다고 19일 밝혔다.

이번 탐방은 이북5도위원회가 역점적으로 추진 중인 ‘올해 상반기 가족결연 지속화 사업’의 일환으로 기획됐다. 

매년 결연 행사를 통해 한 가족처럼 인연을 맺어온 이북도민과 북한이탈주민들이 일상에서 벗어나 지역의 역사적 명소를 함께 걷고 소통하며 우의를 다지기 위한 목적이다.

이날 행사에는 김영섭 세종지구 이북5도민 연합회장과 이영희 북한이탈주민 봉사단 회장을 비롯해 총 36명이 참석해 화합의 의미를 더했다.

오전 일정으로 탐방단은 임진왜란 당시 나라를 위해 순절한 고경명, 조헌 선생과 700여 명의 의병이 영면해 있는 ‘칠백의총’을 방문했다. 

참석자들은 국난 극복에 앞장선 선조들의 숭고한 호국 정신을 기리며 애국심을 되새겼다.

이어 오후에는 금산의 명찰 ‘보석사’로 발걸음을 옮겼다. 산에서 채굴한 금으로 불상을 만들어 봉헌했다는 유래를 지닌 이곳에서 참석자들은 임진왜란 당시 승병장으로 활약한 영규대사가 머물던 의선각을 둘러보았다. 

특히 보석사의 명물인 천년 은행나무 아래서 진행된 ‘초롱등 만들기’는 큰 호응을 얻었다. 

참석자들은 ‘학행일치(學行一致: 배운 대로 실행함)’라는 뜻깊은 글귀가 적힌 초롱등을 직접 만들고 서로에게 선물하며 화기애애한 시간을 보냈다.

탐방의 대미는 금강 상류의 수려한 자연경관을 한눈에 담을 수 있는 ‘월영산 출렁다리’에서 장식됐다. 

참석자들은 출렁다리를 건너며 그간의 향수와 시름을 달래고 모처럼 힐링하는 여유를 만끽했다.

이번 탐방 프로그램은 온새미로숲학교의 주선과 문화유산청, 금산군의 적극적인 행정적 협조 속에서 원활하게 마무리되었다.

홍근진 사무소장은 고향을 북에 두고 온 이북5도민과 북한이탈주민들이 동병상련의 마음으로 서로 의지하고 유대를 한층 강화할 수 있었던 소중한 시간이었다고 강조했다. 

이어 다가오는 하반기에도 충청권 일원에서 가족결연 지속화 사업을 차질 없이 추진해 나갈 예정이라고 밝혔다.

The Sejong Office of the Five Northern Provinces announced on the 19th that it successfully conducted the ‘Family Bonding Historical and Cultural Tour’ on the 18th in the Geumsan-gun area of ​​South Chungcheong Province to promote communication and harmony between the two groups.

This tour was planned as part of the ‘Sustainable Family Bonding Project for the First Half of This Year,’ which the Committee on the Five Northern Provinces is prioritizing. The purpose of this event is to allow residents of the Northern Provinces and North Korean defectors, who have formed bonds like family through annual partnership ceremonies, to step away from their daily routines, walk together through local historical sites, and strengthen their friendship through interaction.

A total of 36 people attended the event, including Kim Young-seop, President of the Sejong District Association of Residents from the Five Northern Provinces, and Lee Young-hee, President of the North Korean Defector Volunteer Corps, adding significance to the spirit of harmony.

For the morning schedule, the tour group visited "Chilbaekuichong," the eternal resting place of Go Gyeong-myeong, Jo Heon, and approximately 700 righteous army soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country during the Imjin War.

The participants reaffirmed their patriotism while paying tribute to the noble spirit of national defense of their ancestors who spearheaded the overcoming of national crises.

In the afternoon, they moved on to "Boseoksa," a renowned temple in Geumsan. At this site, which holds the legend that a Buddha statue was made and dedicated using gold mined from the mountain, the participants toured Uiseongak, where Great Master Yeonggyu, who served as a commander of the monk army during the Imjin War, once resided. In particular, the "Lantern Making" activity, held under the thousand-year-old ginkgo tree—a famous landmark of Boseoksa Temple—received a great response.

The tour culminated at the Woryeongsan Suspension Bridge, which offers a panoramic view of the magnificent natural scenery of the upper Geumgang River.

This tour program was smoothly concluded thanks to the arrangements of the Onsaemiro Forest School and the active administrative cooperation of the Cultural Heritage Administration and Geumsan County.

Office Director Hong Geun-jin emphasized that it was a precious time where residents from the Five Northern Provinces who left their hometowns behind in the North, as well as North Korean defectors, could rely on each other with a sense of shared suffering and further strengthen their bonds.
