대전시가 시민 이용이 집중되는 문화·공공시설을 직접 찾아 중대시민재해와 중대산업재해 예방 점검에 나섰다. 시는 10일 대전예술의전당을 비롯해 시립미술관, 이응노미술관, 시립연정국악원, 한밭수목원 등을 방문해 안전관리 실태를 확인하고 운영기관과 협력 방안을 논의했다고 밝혔다.

이번 점검은 '중대재해 처벌 등에 관한 법률' 시행 취지에 맞춰 공중이용시설과 사업장에서 발생할 수 있는 위험 요인을 사전에 줄이기 위한 현장 중심 활동으로 진행됐다. 시는 사고가 발생한 뒤 대응하는 방식보다, 시설 운영 단계에서 위험 신호를 촘촘히 걸러내는 예방형 관리가 핵심이라는 점에 무게를 뒀다.
