중동 지역의 군사적 긴장 고조로 고유가와 고환율 위기가 심화되는 가운데, 충청남도가 지역 경제 피해를 최소화하기 위한 비상 대응 체계에 돌입했다. 

충남도는 제조업 비중이 높고 수출 의존도가 큰 지역 산업 특성을 고려해 금융 지원과 현장 점검을 병행하는 입체적인 대책을 내놨다.

충남도는 10일 도청 대회의실에서 전형식 정무부지사 주재로 ‘중동 위기 관련 긴급 경제 상황 점검회의’를 개최했다. 이번 회의는 유가 상승에 따른 민생 경제 악화를 우려해 도 차원의 선제적 대응을 주문한 김태흠 지사의 지시에 따라 마련됐으며, 시·군 및 유관기관 관계자 30여 명이 머리를 맞댔다.

가장 즉각적인 조치는 금융 지원이다. 도는 중동 사태로 수출이나 물류에 타격을 입은 기업을 대상으로 총 500억 원 규모의 경영안정자금을 투입한다. 

해당 자금은 2%대의 저금리로 제공되며, ‘힘쎈충남 금융지원센터’를 통해 상세한 안내를 받을 수 있다. 또한 충남경제진흥원 내에 긴급지원센터를 설치해 피해 기업의 목소리를 실시간으로 청취하고 맞춤형 솔루션을 제공할 계획이다.

대산 지역은 이미 산업 위기 선제 대응 지역으로 지정된 만큼, 정부의 사업 재편 승인과 연계해 위기 극복에 속도를 낸다.

글로벌 공급 과잉에 전쟁 여파까지 겹친 당진 철강산업에 대해서는 다음 달 중 ‘선제 위기 대응 지역’ 지정을 이끌어낼 수 있도록 모든 행정력을 집중하고 있다. 수출 기업에는 한국무역협회 등과 협력해 수출입 보험료 지원 및 해외 박람회 참가 시 우선권을 부여하는 등 실질적인 혜택을 제공한다.

민생 경제와 직결된 유가 및 물가 관리에도 고삐를 죈다. 도는 기름값 급등에 따른 도내 운수업계의 경영 상황을 면밀히 살피는 한편, 주유소의 가격 담합 등 불공정 행위를 집중 단속한다. 

이미 석유류 유통 대리점을 대상으로 공급 가격 인상 자제를 요청하는 등 물가 안정을 위한 행정지도를 병행하고 있다.
