대전의 대표 역사문화 공간인 우암사적공원이 빛으로 새롭게 단장했다. 대전시는 5일 오후 7시 동구 가양동 우암사적공원에서 ‘우암사적공원 야간경관조명 점등식’을 열고 본격적인 운영에 들어갔다.

1998년 개장한 우암사적공원은 조선 중기의 대학자이자 정치가였던 우암 송시열 선생의 유적을 중심으로 조성된 공원으로, 시민과 관광객들이 일상 속에서 역사문화를 체감할 수 있는 공간이다. 이번에 조성된 야간경관조명은 총사업비 5억 원을 들여 약 5만 3,000㎡ 규모의 공원 전역에 LED 조명을 설치한 사업이다.

남간정사와 덕포루, 연지(蓮池) 등 주요 문화유산과 보행 동선, 수경 공간 등에 조명을 배치해 야간에도 공원의 역사적 풍경을 감각적으로 조망할 수 있도록 했다. 특히 덕포루 앞 연지는 수면 위에 반사되는 조명 효과를 연출해 야간경관의 핵심 포인트로 주목받고 있다.
