대전시의회 이금선 의원(교육위원장, 국민의힘, 유성구 4)이 학교 현장의 목소리를 직접 듣고 정책 개선 방안을 모색했다.

이금선 의원은 3일 오후 구즉동·전민동·관평동에 위치한 서부 중학교 7지구와 서부 초등학교 5지구 운영위원장들과 차례로 간담회를 개최하고, 각 학교가 안고 있는 주요 현안을 논의했다. 이번 간담회는 교육현장의 생생한 의견을 청취해 교육정책과 예산 지원의 실효성을 높이기 위해 마련됐다.

운영위원장들은 이 자리에서 학교별 노후시설 개선과 관련된 다양한 의견을 제시했다. 특히 화장실, 급식실, 외부창호 등 교육환경 개선이 시급하다는 지적과 함께 중학교 과밀학급 문제, 교권 보호 강화, 교복 구매 관련 제도 개선에 대한 의견이 오갔다.

이금선 의원은 현장의 요구사항을 하나씩 확인하며 교육청 관계자에게 관련 사업의 검토와 추진을 공식 요청했다.

그는 “학교 운영위원장님들의 현장 의견에는 학생 복지와 교육 여건 개선을 위한 현실적인 고민이 담겨 있다”며 “앞으로도 학교와 지역 사회가 긴밀히 협력할 수 있도록 소통의 자리를 이어가겠다”고 밝혔다.
