장종태 국회의원(더불어민주당·대전 서구)이 미용산업 발전에 기여한 공로를 인정받아 대한미용사회중앙회로부터 감사패를 수상했다.

감사패 수여는 지난 17일 오전 11시, 대한미용사회중앙회 총회장에서 열린 ‘제69차 대한미용사회중앙회 정기총회’에서 이뤄졌다. 

이날 총회에는 재적 대의원 662명 중 412명이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다.

이선심 중앙회장, 신관순 지회장 등을 비롯해 오세희·장종태 국회의원, 송치영 소상공인연합회장, 허명 한국여성단체협의회장 등 정·관계 주요 인사들이 자리를 함께해 성황을 이뤘다.

이선심 중앙회장은 "장 의원은 미용산업과 뷰티업계의 현장 목소리에 귀 기울이며 실질적인 정책 마련에 앞장서 왔다"며 감사패 수상 배경을 설명했다.

감사패를 받은 장 의원은 축사를 통해 “대한민국 미용계가 K‑뷰티 산업을 이끄는 주체로 자리매김할 수 있도록, 국회에서도 법·제도적 기반 마련에 적극 나서겠다”고 밝혔다. 이어 “특히 뷰티산업진흥법 제정 등 핵심 과제들을 국회 차원에서 뒷받침하겠다”며 입법 지원 의지를 강조했다.

한편 대한미용사회중앙회는 전국 약 10만여 미용인을 대표하는 단체로, 매년 정기총회를 통해 업계 현안을 공유하고 관련 정책 방향을 논의하고 있다.
