대전세종 지역의 양성평등 정책을 시민이 직접 들여다보고 제안하는 ‘정책 모니터단’이 공식 출범했다.

대전시사회서비스원 산하 대전세종양성평등센터는 18일, 대전·세종 시민 16명을 ‘양성평등 정책 모니터단’으로 위촉하고 본격적인 활동 시작을 알렸다.

정책 모니터단은 양성평등센터의 대표적인 시민참여 사업으로, 주민들이 일상 속에서 체감하는 정책의 사각지대를 직접 모니터링하고 성인지적 관점에서 개선 의견을 제시하는 것을 목표로 한다.

이번에 위촉된 모니터단은 두 개 분과로 나뉘어 운영된다. 하나는 지자체가 수립하는 각종 기본계획과 자치법규를 점검하는 ‘청년정책 모니터링단’, 다른 하나는 공공생활체육시설을 중심으로 일상생활 속 성평등 요소를 진단하는 ‘지역 시민 정책 모니터링단’이다.

이들은 오는 5월부터 10월까지 약 6개월 동안 본격적인 현장 점검과 정책 분석에 참여할 예정이며, 이 과정에서 수렴된 의견은 시·구 행정 담당자와의 간담회 등을 통해 정책 개선 논의로 이어진다. 활동 결과는 자료집으로 정리되어 정책 활용도를 높일 계획이다.
