충남도립대학교가 13일 대학 해오름관에서 ‘2024학년도 제26회 학위수여식’을 열고, 355명의 졸업생에게 학위를 수여했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 행사에는 김용찬 총장을 비롯해 박정주 행정부지사, 홍성현 도의회 의장, 이정우 도의원, 졸업생 및 처‧국‧단장 등이 참석하여 자리를 빛냈다.

행사는 학사보고와 학위증 수여, 우수학생 표창 등의 순서로 진행되었으며, 뷰티코디네이션학과의 현보라 학생이 전체 수석으로 도지사 표창을 받는 영예를 안았다. 

전체 차석은 자치행정학과의 김지영 학생이 도의회의장 표창을 수상했다. 또한, 청양군수 표창은 뷰티코디네이션학과의 한주현 학생에게, 청양군의회 의장 표창은 전기전자공학과의 김현우 학생에게 돌아갔다.

이날 졸업식에서 학업 성적이 우수한 학생들에게 수여되는 충남도립대학교 총장상은 건설안전방재학과: 박준혁, 변재웅 - 환경에너지학과: 윤여섭, 조성훈- 소방안전관리학과: 김태호, 김어진- 전기전자공학과: 이환희, 임다운- 컴퓨터공학과: 장선경, 김다빈- 건축인테리어학과: 고영수, 양세창- 자치행정학과: 고은영, 이혜란, 김재선(야간), 강종순(야간), 오규리(전공심화), 이기백(전공심화)- 경찰행정학과: 오채연, 김나희- 토지행정학과: 이준우, 박건희- 호텔조리제빵학과: 문소윤, 조원창- 뷰티코디네이션학과: 이연지, 박지윤- 작업치료학과: 조예원, 최은실 졸업생이 수상했다.

졸업식에 참석한 박정주 부지사는 “1998년 개교한 충남도립대학교는 지역을 대표하는 교육기관으로 성장했다”며 “공립대학의 가장 핵심은 교육의 공적 가치를 추구하는 것”이라고 강조했다. 이어 “졸업 후 청년들이 지역에 안착할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 덧붙였다.

홍성현 의장은 졸업생들에게 “인생의 첫발을 내딛으며 수많은 난관과 시행착오를 겪게 될 것”이라며 “좌절하고 포기하고 싶은 순간도 있겠지만, 비바람과 맞서 긴 삶의 여정을 완주하길 바란다”고 격려했다.

김용찬 총장은 “우리는 성공을 목표로 달려가지만, 성공만큼 중요한 것이 성장”이라며 “성장은 어제보다 더 나아지려는 노력에서 시작되는 만큼 그 과정을 중요하게 생각해 달라”고 당부했다. 

이어 “세상은 완벽한 사람을 요구하지 않는다. 끊임없이 배우고 도전하는 사람을 필요로 한다. 우리 대학이 여러분의 든든한 버팀목이 되겠다”고 덧붙였다.
