세종시설관리공단(이하 공단)은 세종시 내 21종 122개소의 공공체육시설 인수를 위한 전담 태스크포스(TF)팀을 구성했다고 24일 발표했다. 

이번 조치는 공공체육시설의 안전성과 운영 효율성을 높이기 위한 선제적 대응으로, 모든 시설에 대한 점검과 운영 현황 파악을 목표로 하고 있다.

인수 예정인 주요 시설에는 금강 파크골프장, 조치원 시민운동장, 고복 야외수영장, BMX 경기장, 부강 게이트볼장 등 세종시 전역에서 운영 중인 다양한 생활체육시설이 포함된다. 

공단은 TF팀을 통해 각 시설의 전수조사를 실시하고, 잠재적인 위험 요소를 사전에 식별하여 안전성을 강화할 계획이다. 또한, 시설의 기능 보강과 운영 효율화 방안도 함께 마련할 예정이다.

조소연 이사장은 “시민들이 체육시설을 이용하는 데 불편함이 없도록 철저하게 사업 인수를 진행하겠다”며, “안전하고 효율적인 시설 운영을 통해 시민의 건강 증진에도 기여할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 강조했다.

한편, 공단은 지난해 중앙공원 내 13개소의 생활체육시설(파크골프장, 테니스장, 축구장 등)을 인수하여 운영 중이며, 올해 추가로 122개소의 시설을 인수받게 되면 명실상부한 생활체육 전문기관으로 자리매김할 것으로 기대된다.
