세종형 자치분권 실현을 앞당기기 위한 논의의 장이 시민주권특별자치시 세종에서 열렸다.
세종시는 세종제주특위 세종분과위원회(위원장 안성호)와 공동으로 27일 ‘시민주권 특별자치시 세종의 추진현황 및 발전방향과 풀뿌리 민주주의 이론과 실천’을 주제로 비대면(온라인) 세미나를 개최했다.
시는 시민주권 실현을 목표로 세종 5대 분야 12개 과제를 추진해오며 올바른 주민 자치 방향에 대한 노력을 기울여왔다.
그 결과 중앙정부, 학회 등 각종 경진대회 수상은 물론, 타 지방자치단체의 벤치마킹을 이끌어내는 등 대외적으로 주민자치의 성공모델로서 우수성을 인정받았다.
이날 토론회는 풀뿌리 민주주의 선도도시인 세종시에서 세종형 자치모델의 성과를 공유하고 새로운 주민자치 패러다임(체계)을 강구하기 위해 마련됐다.
세미나는 코로나19로 시 공식 유튜브 생중계를 통해 무관중 온라인 방식으로 진행됐으며, 국가균형발전위원회와 자치분권위원회 관계자, 일부 토론자는 원격접속, 화상회의 등 비대면 방식으로 참여했다.
