충남교육청이 지난 6일 공주 신월초등학교 5학년 학생을 대상으로 ‘찾아가는 우리 고장 독립운동사 교육’을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

 
이번 교육은 독립기념관 강사양성 교육 과정을 통해 선발된 8명의 강사가 학교를 직접 찾아가서 진행한다. 충남의 100개 초·중학교에서 11월 30일까지 실시할 예정이다.

최근 지역 중심의 독립운동사 교육 필요성이 높아짐에 따라 충남 학생들에게 지역의 독립운동가 및 독립운동사 교육을 추진하는 것이다.

 
교육 주제는 △충남의 독립운동가 5인 △청산리대첩과 충남의 독립운동가 △3·1운동과 유관순 열사 △윤봉길 의사의 선택 △충남의 여성 독립운동가 4인 등으로, 독립운동의 역사적 의의와 충청남도 지역 출신의 독립운동가 활약상을 알리는 데 중점을 두었다.
 

한편 충남의 독립운동가 5인은 김좌진 장군과 유관순 열사, 윤봉길 의사와 이동녕 선생, 한용운 선생이며, 충남의 여성 독립운동가 4인은 김복희 선생, 이은숙 선생, 정정화 선생, 황현숙 선생이다.
