보강대상은 관내 3층 이상 의료시설·노유자(老幼者)시설 등으로, 가연성 외장재를 사용하고 스프링클러를 미설치한 건축물이다. 현재 구에는 15곳, 건축물 1동당 최대 2,660만원까지 공사비를 지원할 예정이다.

공사비 지원은 관리자(소유자)가 LH 건축물관리지원센터에 신청서를 제출해 보강계획을 검토 받은 후, 중구 건축위원회 심의를 거쳐 구청장 승인을 받으면 최종 확정된다.
