[Daejeon City, Masters Series 3 “French Fragrance” performance]

The Daejeon City Symphony Orchestra will perform the “Masters Series 3-Fragrance of France” at 7:30 pm on the 25th of this month at the Art Hall of the Daejeon Arts Center.

Ravel, Saint-Saens, Debussy, and Shabrier were selected so that they could smell the rich European sensibility and scent on a warm spring day.

Daejeon City Hyang is preparing for various series of concerts this year with the motto of "Musical Vaccines Healing Corona Blue." Among them, the Masters Series showcases the essence of authentic classics, and anyone of all ages can enjoy it together.

This performance is expected to show even more beautiful melody with the concert of pianist Cho Jae-hyuk, who is actively active in Europe and is active as a performer, commentator, and broadcaster with the guest command of Seung-won Lee, a conductor who has the power of rapport, and has sensitivity and intelligence.

It starts with "Pavanne for the Dead Princess" by Ravel, one of France's leading composers. It is said that the song was composed after seeing the portrait of a young princess painted by Spanish painter Velazquez at the Louvre Museum in Paris. You can feel that the label wrote it with love for the noble culture of old France.

In addition, he plays "Saint Saens' Piano Concerto No. 5-Egypt" in collaboration with pianist Jae-hyuk Cho. This song was composed in a temple village in Luxor during a winter vacation in Egypt, and was given the subtitle "Egypt" because you can feel the colors of Middle Eastern music as well as Java and Spain.

Not only human music, but also the sound of frogs along the Nile River, squeaks of Egyptian crickets, and the sound of the spinning propeller of a ship, and used as a motif,'Saint Saens' Piano Concerto No. 5-Egypt', you can enjoy delicate and lively music. .

Debussy's “Three Nocturnes,” which cannot be missed, is played with the Dangjin City Choir, and even the human voice is treated as a single instrument, dramatically expressing the expressive power of orchestral music.

The'clouds' constantly changing with a clever mix of identity and flow, a colorful'festival' with a feast of brilliant colors and an evolving rhythm that is intricately intertwined, and the last song'Sea Fairy' is a unique aesthetic in an exotic and fantastic atmosphere. And unfold the world of admiration.

At the end of the second half, Shabrier's "España, Rhapsody for Orchestra" is played. Despite being a 3/8 beat, it portrays the fantasies of Spain that seem to spring up with an anomalous rhythm that feels like a two beat, while at the same time using the brilliant orchestra's colors to delight the listener's ears.

For the safety of the audience, seats are operated according to the social distancing stage, and may change depending on the Corona 19 situation.
