시공명리학 22번째 칼럼에서는 가난과 존재의 결핍 속에서도 꿈을 잃지 않았던 일타강사 ‘이지영’님에 대한 이야기를 해보려고 합니다. 

어린 시절, 반지하 월세방에 교복조차 살 수 없어서 선배들이 물려준 교복을 입었으며, 친구들이 풀던 문제집을 구해서 재활용할 만큼 가난했다고 합니다.

생활보호 대상자에게만 제공되던 무상 도시락을 먹으며 겪었던 차가운 차별의 시선은 반드시 성공해야 한다는 동기부여가 되었고 지금은 그녀의 말처럼 대체 불가능한 인재, 그 분야의 원탑이 되었습니다. 그녀의 사주팔자에는 어떤 특별함이 있기에 스타강사가 될 수 있었을까요?

칠흑 같은 월주 임자(壬子) 어둠이 병화(丙火) 빛을 빼앗기에 너무나도 가난한 어린 시절을 보냈습니다. 다행한 점은 년지 술토(年支 戌土)속 정화(丁火)와 신금(辛金)을 임자(壬子)에 풀어내서 정신임 삼자(丁辛壬 三字)를 활용하기에 매우 총명하고 하늘에서 돈벼락을 맞을 수 있습니다. 술토(戌土) 속 신금(辛金)은 방탕할 수 있는 임자(壬子)에게 미네랄을 제공하여 가치가 높은 생명수로 거듭났고 매우 총명하여 배움의 여정을 통해 스스로의 가치를 증명해나갔습니다. 

일간 병화(日干 丙火)의 시기이자, 27세 때부터 시작되는 기유 대운(己酉 大運)을 만나서 인생의 전환점을 맞이하게 됩니다. 온라인 강의 무대를 상징하는 기토(己土)의 한정된 공간에서 병화(丙火)의 빛을 활용하여 임자(壬子) 어둠 속에서 길을 잃은 학생들을 환하고 밝은 곳으로 인도합니다. 2012년, 2014년 두 차례에 걸쳐 최우수 강사에 선정되면서 명실상부한 스타강사로 자리매김하게 되었습니다.  

37세 무신 대운(戊申 大運)에 이르러 기토(己土)의 한정된 공간에서 벗어나 무토(戊土)의 드넓은 무대를 활용하여 더욱 확장하기 시작합니다. 년지 인오술(年支 寅午戌) 삼합을 기준으로 壬子는 겁살과 재살(劫煞 災煞)이기에 자신만의 독특함으로 차별화하고 과단성을 활용하여 독보적인 위치를 선점하였습니다.  

우리의 운명은 태어나는 순간 년과 월의 배합(年月 配合)에 따라 7할 정도는 결정되어 있다고 생각합니다. 하지만 삶의 방향을 선택하고 꾸준한 노력으로 높은 곳을 향하는 ‘3할’의 동력은 운명을 직시하고 고난조차 사랑하며, 초인(Übermensch)으로 나아가고자 할 때 비로소 그 모습을 드러낸다고 합니다.      

이지영 강사의 삶의 궤적 또한 초인을 향한 ‘아모르 파티(Amor Fati, 운명애)’와 맞닿아 있는지도 모릅니다. 단순히 주어진 운명에 순응하는 태도가 아닌, 운명을 사랑하는 의지적 긍정. 그리고 ‘고통과 상실, 불확실성’을 회피하거나 부정하는 대신 ‘내 일부로써 사랑하는 삶에 대한 적극적 예찬’을 통해 스스로 운명을 개척하고 의미화 해냈습니다. 

모든 자신들에게 스스로 기특하다고 격려하는 나날들이길 기대합니다.
