15일 동부교육지원청서 위촉식·현판식…위원장에 정상철 전 충남대 총장

10개 분과·60여 명 규모 ‘매머드급’ 구성…핵심 공약 실행 로드맵 수립 착수

‘사람을 키우는 대전교육’을 슬로건으로 내건 제12대 대전광역시교육감직 인수위원회가 대전교육의 새로운 패러다임을 짤 혁신 작업에 전격 착수했다.

오석진 대전시교육감 당선인의 정책 비전을 뒷받침할 인수위원회가 15일 오전 대전광역시동부교육지원청 인수위 회의실에서 인수위원 위촉식과 현판식을 거행하고 공식 업무에 돌입했다고 밝혔다.

이번 인수위를 이끌 선장으로는 정상철 전 충남대학교 총장이 위촉됐으며, 부위원장에는 이건표 전 대전삼성초등학교 교장이 임명됐다. 학계와 교육계 현장을 아우르는 전문가 총 12명이 인수위원으로 이름을 올리며 무게감을 더했다.

여기에 정책의 전문성을 극대화할 전문위원 40명과 실무를 뒷받침할 실무위원 10명이 대거 합류하면서, 총 60여 명 규모의 매머드급 인수위가 진용을 갖췄다. 

인수위는 대전 교육 현안을 현미경 검증하고 정책 완성도를 높이기 위해 '정책기획, 교육혁신1, 교육혁신2, 학교안전, 교육복지, 교권신장, 소통공감, 미래교육, 교육균형발전, 대외홍보' 등 총 10개 분과로 세분화해 운영된다.

각 분과별 인수위원으로는 대전 교육계를 이끌어온 베테랑들이 전면 배치됐다. 이상수 전 대전교육청 교육국장, 성수자 전 대전교육청 학교정책과장, 유명익 전 교육연수원장, 김현철 전 대전경덕중 교장, 김정모 전 한밭교육박물관장, 이호주 대전문지중 교장, 이윤경 대전교사노조 위원장, 이탁연 KAIST 교수, 윤마병 전주대 교수, 이병수 전 대전교육청 기획국장 등이 참여해 전문성을 발휘할 예정이다.

인수위는 행정 내부 점검에만 그치지 않고, 분과별 T/F팀 가동, 교육 현장 직접 방문, 설문조사, 교육 관계자 릴레이 간담회 등을 추진한다. 철저히 ‘현장 중심’의 목소리를 수렴해 시민들과 약속한 핵심 공약들을 촘촘한 실행 로드맵으로 구체화하겠다는 구상이다.

정상철 인수위원장은 이번 인수위원회는 대전 교육에 새로운 활력을 불어넣고, 시대 변화에 발맞춘 교육 혁신을 이루기 위한 전초기지라며, '사람을 키우는 대전교육’이라는 큰 틀 안에서 각 분야 최고의 전문가들과 함께 공약의 실현 가능성을 면밀히 점검하고 튼튼한 기틀을 다져 대전 교육 변화의 첫걸음을 당당히 내딛겠다고 포부를 밝혔다.
