이번 거리응원전은 월드컵이 개막하는 6월 11일부터 7월 19일까지 천안시 동남구 신부동 홍익스포츠센터 일원에서 펼쳐질 예정이다. 주최 측은 국가대표팀의 경기 일정에 맞춰 대형 전광판을 스크린으로 활용하고, 누구나 자유롭게 모여 응원할 수 있는 개방형 광장을 조성할 계획이다.
