제9회 전국동시지방선거의 뜨거웠던 총성이 멎고 지역 사회가 빠르게 안정을 찾아가고 있다. 

충청권 전역에서 당선인들이 당선증을 손에 쥐며 민선 9기 출범을 위한 본격적인 카운트다운에 돌입했다. 선거 과정에서 불거진 대립과 갈등을 봉합하고, 이제는 유권자들에게 약속했던 공약들을 어떻게 실현해 나갈지 고민해야 하는 엄중한 책임의 시간이 도래한 것이다.

선거가 끝나자마자 지역 정가에서는 의미 있는 쇄신의 목소리가 나오고 있다. 

권선택 전 대전시장은 SNS를 통해 선거 과정에서의 소회를 밝히며 당선인들을 향해 뼈 있는 조언을 건넸다.
