6월 한 달간 선착순 200명 대상 칫솔 교환 행사 진행

치과의사 맞춤형 구강 상담 및 올바른 칫솔질 교육 병행

충남 서천군보건소가 제81회 구강보건의 날(6월 9일)을 맞아 군민들의 올바른 구강 관리 습관 형성을 돕기 위한 생활 밀착형 보건 캠페인에 나선다.

보건소는 6월 한 달간 ‘건강한 미소, 칫솔 교체부터’라는 주제로 구강 건강 증진 캠페인을 운영한다고 밝혔다. 

매년 6월 9일로 지정된 구강보건의 날은 첫 영구치인 어금니가 나오는 시기인 6세의 ‘6’과 어금니를 뜻하는 한자어 구치(臼齒)의 ‘9’를 상징적으로 결합한 날로, 평생 사용해야 할 영구치를 소중히 관리하자는 깊은 의미를 담고 있다.

‘함께 지키는 구강건강, 이(齒)로운 노후의 시작’이라는 슬로건 아래 진행되는 이번 캠페인의 핵심은 노후 칫솔 교체 행사다. 보건소는 선착순 200명의 군민을 대상으로 평소 집에서 사용하던 헌 칫솔을 가져오면 위생적인 새 칫솔로 교환해 준다. 

참여를 희망하는 군민은 보건소 1층 치과실을 방문해 기존 칫솔을 제출하면 되며, 혜택은 보다 많은 군민의 참여를 위해 1인당 1개로 제한된다.

전문적인 의료 예방 서비스도 촘촘하게 지원된다. 행사 기간 동안 보건소 내 치과의사와 구강보건 전문 인력이 상주하며 1대1 맞춤형 구강 상담, 치면세균막(플라그) 관찰, 올바른 칫솔질 방법 교육, 적정 칫솔 교체 주기 안내 등 다채로운 예방 중심의 구강 보건 서비스를 제공할 예정이다.

나성구 서천군보건소장은 구강보건의 날을 맞아 특별히 마련한 이번 캠페인이 군민들의 자발적이고 건강한 구강 관리 습관을 형성하는 마중물이 되기를 기대한다며, 정기적인 칫솔 교체와 올바른 칫솔질의 생활화야말로 백세 시대 구강 질환을 예방하는 가장 기본적이고 확실한 방법이라고 강조했다.

The Health Center announced that it will operate an oral health promotion campaign throughout June under the theme, “A Healthy Smile Starts with Replacing Your Toothbrush.”

Oral Health Day, designated as June 9 every year, symbolically combines the number “6” from the age of six, when the first permanent molars erupt, with the number “9” from the Chinese character “Guchi” (臼齒), meaning molar.
