대전맹학교는 21일 세미나실에서 국립장애인도서관이 주관하는 ‘장애인 독서문화 프로그램 지원 사업’의 일환으로 소설 '첫 여름, 완주'의 김금희 작가와의 만남 행사를 개최했다.

이번 행사는 시각장애 학생들을 배려해 음성 안내와 구두 설명 중심으로 진행되었으며, 학생들은 사전 틈새 독서로 작품을 미리 청취한 후 작가와 생생한 창작 비화를 나누며 소통했다. 

특히 이날 행사에는 출판사 ‘무제’의 대표인 배우 박정민도 참석해 기획 단계부터 시각장애인을 위해 우선 제작된 ‘듣는 소설’ 오디오북의 제작 과정과 출판 철학을 소개하고 학생들의 생생한 피드백을 청취했다.

문성준 교장은 “이번 만남이 학생들이 꿈과 진로를 탐색하는 소중한 이정표가 되었기를 바라며, 앞으로도 장벽 없는 풍요로운 독서 문화를 위해 아낌없이 지원하겠다”고 전했다.

On the 21st, Daejeon School for the Blind held a meeting with author Kim Geum-hee, author of the novel *First Summer, Wanju*, in the seminar room as part of the "Support Project for Reading Culture Programs for the Disabled," organized by the National Library for the Disabled.

To accommodate visually impaired students, the event was conducted primarily through audio guidance and verbal explanations. Students listened to the work in advance through "quick reading" and then interacted with the author, sharing vivid behind-the-scenes stories of the creative process.

Notably, actor Park Jung-min, the representative of the publishing house *Muje*, also attended the event.
