오랜 기간 정체된 지역 행정의 틀을 깨고 역동적인 변화를 이끌기 위한 목소리가 유성구에서 울려 퍼졌다. 

국민의힘 조원휘 유성구청장 후보는 환경감시요원들의 지지 선언과 여성경제인협회의 격려 방문이 잇따르는 가운데, 유성의 정체를 끝내고 새로운 혁신을 이끌어내겠다는 포부를 18일 선거사무소에서 천명했다. 

조 후보는 유성이 과학도시이자 교육·관광의 중심지였으나 변화 없는 행정 탓에 성장 동력을 잃어왔다고 진단하며, 실천력 있는 리더십이 시급하다고 역설했다.

이러한 변화의 열망에 부응하듯 민생 현장의 연대가 돋보였다. 지역 환경감시요원들은 조 후보의 선거사무소를 찾아 생활환경 개선 의지가 확고한 적임자라며 전격 지지를 선언했다. 

이들은 도시 규모는 커졌으나 교통과 정주 여건 등 체감 정책은 부족했다며 현장 중심 행정을 주문했다. 

이어 조 후보는 지역 여성경제인협회 관계자들과 만나 기업하기 좋은 환경 조성과 소상공인 지원 방안을 심도 있게 논의하며 유성의 새로운 경제 돌파구를 모색했다.

조 후보는 유성의 미래 비전으로 과학과 경제, 관광과 생활혁신이 맞물리는 융합형 발전을 제시했다. 

대덕특구와 지역 상권, 청년과 기업을 유기적으로 연결해 활력 넘치는 도시 생태계를 구축하겠다는 구상이다.

Local environmental monitors visited Candidate Jo’s election office and declared their full support, calling him the right person with a firm commitment to improving the living environment.
