거대 정당의 세 과시형 행사를 지양하고 지역 주민과의 정밀한 밀착형 소통을 전면에 내세운 이색적인 선거사무소 개소식이 열려 아산 정가의 이목을 끌고 있다. 

제9회 전국동시지방선거 아산시의회의원선거 라선거구에 출마한 더불어민주당 위민경 후보(기호 1-나)가 지난 17일 선거사무소 개소식을 성황리에 마치고 본격적인 필승 가도에 돌입했다.

이날 아산에서 개최된 개소식은 외형적인 화려함 대신 정책과 진심을 전달하는 토론 중심의 자리로 꾸며졌으며, 안장헌 전 충남도의회 예결위원장이 사회를 맡아 정돈된 분위기 속에서 진행됐다.

이번 행사는 주말을 기점으로 아산을 지역구에 출전한 더불어민주당 후보들의 탄탄한 결속력을 대내외에 과시하는 무대가 됐다. 

현장에는 아산을 국회의원 보궐선거에 출사표를 던진 전은수 후보를 필두로 조철기·이지윤·김희영 충남도의원 후보, 안정근·이춘호·김민규·전준범 아산시의원 후보 등 지역구 라인업이 총출동해 보궐선거와 지방선거의 동반 승리를 향한 강력한 ‘원팀 전선’을 구축했다. 

전은수 국회의원 후보는 축사에서 “위 후보의 승리가 곧 아산을 전역의 승리”라며 “지역의 민심을 가장 정교하게 읽어온 위 후보와 손잡고 확실한 승리를 일궈내겠다”고 화답했다.

단상에 오른 위민경 후보는 아산시의 미래를 바꿀 양대 축으로 ‘배리어프리(Barrier-free) 아산’과 ‘소통의 데이터화’를 선언했다. 

위 후보는 물리적 장벽은 사회적 단절을 야기하는 근원이라고 짚으며, 아산 전역에 생활 밀착형 배리어프리 설계를 선제적으로 도입해 누구도 소외당하지 않는 다정한 도시를 일구겠다고 다짐했다.

특히 자신의 독보적인 강점으로 지난 13년간 충남 지역 최대 온라인 커뮤니티를 성공적으로 이끌며 수만 건의 민원 데이터를 직접 정밀 분석해 온 이력을 꼽았다. 

그는 이 과정에서 체득한 갈등 중재 능력과 빅데이터 기반의 실증적 소통 역량을 의정 활동에 고스란히 쏟아부어 탁상행정이 아닌 실천형 정치를 선보이겠다고 포부를 피력했다. 

본후보 등록을 마친 위 후보는 소상공인과 소외계층의 목소리를 녹여낸 공약들을 구체화한 뒤, 오는 21일부터 본격적인 총력전에 나설 방침이다.
