유성구의회 의정활동을 통해 실력을 인정받은 더불어민주당 김미희 대전시의원 후보가 선거사무소 개소식을 성황리에 개최하고 시의회 입성을 향한 본격적인 세몰이에 나섰다.

김미희 후보는 16일 오후 4시 대전 유성구 원내동에 위치한 선거사무소에서 필승 결의를 다지는 개소식을 열었다. 

이날 현장에는 박정현 민주당 대전시당위원장을 비롯해 허태정 대전시장 후보, 정용래 유성구청장 후보, 유성 지역 시·구의원 출마자, 당원, 지지자들이 집결해 김 후보의 당선을 응원했다.

이날 축사에 나선 당내 지도부와 광역·기초단체장 후보들은 일제히 김미희 후보의 역량을 높이 평가하며 ‘원팀 시너지’를 강조했다.

허태정 대전시장 후보는 “유성의 중심인 진잠·원내 지역의 발전을 이끌 최적의 일꾼은 바로 김미희 후보”라며 “김 후보를 반드시 시의회로 보내주셔서 시장, 구청장, 시의원이 하나의 팀으로 대전과 유성을 획기적으로 발전시킬 수 있도록 힘을 실어달라”고 지지를 호소했다.

이어 정용래 유성구청장 후보 역시 “유성구를 대한민국에서 가장 혁신적인 지역으로 발전시키기 위해서는 유능한 인재들이 함께 발을 맞춰야 한다”라며 “김 후보와 함께 힘을 모아 유성의 새로운 도약과 혁신을 이끌어 나가자”고 당부했다.

특히 이번 개소식은 기존 정치권의 관행을 깬 이색적인 진행으로 참석자들의 눈길을 사로잡았다. 주요 정치인이나 유력 인사들을 차례로 호명하며 시간을 할애하던 기존의 내빈 소개 절차를 전면 생략한 것이다.

캠프 측은 “오늘 개소식을 찾아주신 모든 주민과 지지자 한 분 한 분이 가장 소중한 내빈”이라며, 참석자 전원이 서로를 향해 격려와 당선을 기원하는 힘찬 박수를 보내는 것으로 내빈 소개를 대체해 신선한 호평을 받았다.

인사말에서 김미희 후보는 시의원 도전에 임하는 진정성 어린 포부와 각오를 밝혔다.

한편, 대전시의회 입성에 도전하는 김미희 후보는 유성구의회 비례대표로 정계에 입문한 뒤, 초선답지 않은 탁월하고 촘촘한 의정활동으로 주목받아왔다. 

특히 지난 2024년에는 성실한 입법 활동과 행정감사 성과를 인정받아 ‘지방의정대상 최우수상’을 수상하는 등 발군의 실력을 입증했다.
