재선 도전에 나서고 있는 김제선 더불어민주당 대전 중구청장 후보가 6일 선거사무소 개소식을 열고, 재선을 향한 본격적인 지방선거 레이스에 돌입했다. 

이날 개소식에는 염홍철 전 대전시장이 후원회장을 맡아 김 후보에 대한 전폭적인 지지를 보냈으며, 공식적인 후원금 모금 활동도 시작됐다.

염홍철 후원회장은 축사를 통해 “김제선 후보는 지난 2년간 중구의 혁신적인 변화를 이끌며 이미 목민관으로서의 탁월한 역량을 입증했다”며, “민선 8기의 성과를 바탕으로 중구의 변화를 완성할 ‘김제선 2기’의 출발을 위해 구민들의 압도적인 지지와 성원을 부탁한다”고 당부했다.

이어 “압도적인 지지로 김제선 2기를 출범시켜, 주민이 주인 되는 진정한 주민주권도시 중구를 완성해 나가겠다”고 포부를 밝혔다.

한편 이날 개소식에는 권선택 전 대전시장, 선병렬 전 국회의원 등 김 후보를 지지하는 지지자들과 주민들이 대거 참여했다.
