박수현 더불어민주당 충남도지사 후보가 고향인 공주를 찾아 지역 경제의 뿌리인 소상공인과 자영업자의 목소리를 경청하며 ‘민생 살리기’ 행보를 펼쳤다.

박 후보는 6일 오일장이 열린 자신의 고향 공주 산성시장을 방문해 시장 상인 및 지역 주민들과 소통하는 시간을 가졌다. 이번 방문은 급변하는 대내외 경제 상황으로 경영에 어려움을 겪는 시장 상인들의 고충을 현장에서 직접 듣고, 실질적인 대안을 모색하기 위해 마련됐다.

상인들은 시장 곳곳을 누비는 박 후보를 향해 “도지사에 당선되어 정체된 공주를 다시금 활기 넘치는 도시로 도약시켜 달라”는 간곡한 당부를 전했다.

이에 박 후보는 “지역 경제의 성패는 소상공인과 자영업자들이 경기 회복을 얼마나 체감하느냐에 달려 있다”며, “인건비와 자재비, 유류비 상승 등 삼중고를 겪으면서도 꿋꿋이 생업을 지켜나가는 분들을 위해 가용한 모든 정책 역량을 집중하겠다”고 화답했다.

박 후보는 소상공인을 위한 구체적인 지원 방안도 제시했다. 

그는 정책금융 지원 확대를 통한 금융부담 완화 ,소상공인 산재보험 도입 등 사회적 안전망 강화 등을 언급하며, “어떠한 환경에서도 안심하고 경제활동에 전념할 수 있는 충남을 만들겠다”고 약속했다.
