어버이날 앞두고 지역 경로당·현장 방문 이어가…

“말보다 행동 앞서는 실무형 구청장 될 것”

국민의힘 김선광 대전 중구청장 후보가 어버이날을 앞두고 지역 곳곳을 누비며 주민들의 목소리를 직접 청취하는 ‘현장 중심’ 선거 운동에 박차를 가하고 있다.

김 후보는 6일 아침 생활체육 동호회 현장을 찾아 주민들과 인사를 나누는 것을 시작으로 본격적인 일정을 시작했다. 이어 지역 경로당과 어르신 나들이 행사 등 복지 현장을 잇달아 방문해 어르신들의 건강 상태를 살피고 복지 현안을 세심히 챙겼다. 

대전 지역 어버이날 기념행사에도 참석해 지역 어르신들에게 존경과 감사의 마음을 전하며 소통의 폭을 넓혔다.

주민 생활과 밀접한 현안을 해결하기 위한 행보도 멈추지 않았다. 김 후보는 공동주택 입주자대표들과 간담회를 열고 주거환경 개선 및 생활민원 해결 방안에 대해 심도 있는 의견을 교환했다. 

현장의 목소리를 구정에 즉각 반영하겠다는 실무형 후보로서의 의지를 드러낸 대목이다.

선거 승리를 위한 ‘원팀’ 행보도 눈에 띈다. 김 후보는 이날 오후 국민의힘 서철모 서구청장 후보 개소식에 참석해 결속력을 다졌으며, 이후 중구 일대를 돌며 주민들과 접촉면을 넓혔다. 저녁에는 소속 시·구의원 후보들과 회동해 지역 핵심 현안과 공약 추진 전략을 점검하는 등 조직력을 정비하는 데 주력했다.

김선광 후보는 “현장에서 주민들을 직접 대면할 때 비로소 중구가 나아가야 할 방향과 해결해야 할 과제가 선명하게 드러난다”며 “화려한 언변으로 포장된 보여주기식 정치 대신, 주민의 의견을 경청하고 발 빠르게 움직이는 실천적 구청장이 되어 중구의 변화를 이끌겠다”고 강조했다.
