‘직(職)·주(住)·락(樂)’ 3대 핵심 공약 발표…

일자리·주거·문화 인프라 전면 재설계

허태정 더불어민주당 대전시장 예비후보(이하 후보)가 청년 세대의 정주 여건을 획기적으로 개선하고 대전을 명실상부한 ‘청년특별시’로 도약시키겠다는 포부를 밝혔다.

허 후보는 6일 오후 대전 중구 은행동 선거사무소에서 기자회견을 열고, 청년들의 삶의 질과 직결되는 ‘직(職)·주(住)·락(樂)’ 기반의 3대 청년정책 공약을 공식 발표했다. 

이번 공약은 단순한 일회성 지원을 넘어, 청년들이 대전에서 배우고, 일하고, 즐기며 미래를 설계할 수 있는 지속 가능한 사회 구조를 만드는 데 초점을 맞췄다.

우선 일자리 분야에서는 대전을 AI, 반도체, 방산, 에너지, 제조 산업의 중심지인 ‘중부권 인재 양성 앵커도시’로 육성하겠다는 계획이다. 

시와 대학, 상공회의소, 대덕연구개발특구 기관을 아우르는 ‘청년 일자리 통합 플랫폼’을 구축해 취업 정보를 한눈에 제공하고, 기업 맞춤형 인재 양성 체계를 강화한다. 

특히 연구기관의 역량을 창업으로 연결하는 ‘청년기술 창업 펀드’를 조성해 1,000개의 청년 벤처기업을 육성하고, 공공기관 유치를 통한 양질의 일자리 공급에도 속도를 낸다.

주거 안정성을 위해서는 도심융합특구와 역세권을 중심으로 청년 주택 5,000호를 공급한다. 이를 위해 기존 대전도시공사의 ‘다가온’ 주택 공급을 확대하는 한편, LH 협력 및 민간임대 모델을 적극 도입해 청년들의 주거비 부담을 대폭 낮출 예정이다.

문화 분야에서는 14세부터 23세까지의 청소년과 청년을 대상으로 ‘청년 문화바우처’가 도입된다. 지역 화폐 ‘온통대전 2.0’ 앱 내에 전용 지갑을 신설하여 공연, 전시, 도서 등 문화 소비를 지원하고, 이를 지역 소상공인 매출과 연계해 지역경제 선순환 구조를 만들겠다는 구상이다.

허태정 후보는 “청년이 떠나는 도시는 미래를 논할 수 없다”고 강조하며, “단순히 청년을 돕는 정책을 넘어, 그들의 삶 전체를 지탱하는 구조적인 환경을 대전에 뿌리내리게 할 것”이라고 다짐했다. 

이어 “이번 공약을 통해 청년들이 대전에서 꿈을 키우고 당당히 자립할 수 있는 ‘청년특별시 대전’의 새로운 시대를 열겠다”고 덧붙였다.
