논산시의 푸른 잔디광장이 어린이들의 해맑은 웃음소리와 가족들의 행복한 함성으로 가득 찼다. 

시는 5일 논산시민가족공원 일원에서 개최된 ‘제104회 어린이날 기념행사’가 시민들의 뜨거운 참여 속에 성공적으로 마무리됐다고 밝혔다.

‘어린이날을 즐겨, 봄!’이라는 슬로건 아래 진행된 이번 행사는 오전 10시부터 오후 늦게까지 이어지며 논산을 대표하는 가족 밀착형 축제의 면모를 과시했다. 

시는 단순한 관람 위주를 벗어나 아이들이 직접 몸을 움직이며 에너지를 발산할 수 있는 ‘키즈 플레이파크’를 조성해 큰 호응을 얻었다.

특히 현장에 설치된 미니 바이킹과 스포츠바운스 등 놀이시설 앞에는 차례를 기다리는 아이들의 줄이 길게 늘어섰으며, 놀이기구 위에서 터져 나오는 아이들의 웃음소리는 행사장 분위기를 한층 고조시켰다.

공연 콘텐츠 역시 아이들의 눈높이에 맞춘 다채로운 구성이 돋보였다. 

어린이들의 우상인 인기 캐릭터 ‘니니키즈’ 싱어롱쇼가 시작되자 현장은 마치 대형 콘서트장을 방불케 하는 환호성으로 가득 찼다. 

이어지는 매직벌룬쇼와 화려한 K-POP 댄스 공연은 어린이뿐만 아니라 동반한 부모들에게도 볼거리를 제공하며 세대 간 소통의 장이 됐다.

이 밖에도 자신의 얼굴을 도화지 삼아 상상을 펼치는 페이스페인팅, 공원을 환상적인 분위기로 연출한 비눗방울 체험 등 촘촘하게 배치된 체험 부스들은 아이들에게 잊지 못할 추억을 선사했다.

논산시는 이번 행사를 안전사고 없이 마무리하며 ‘아동 친화 도시’로서의 역량을 다시 한번 증명했다. 

가족과 함께 행사장을 찾은 한 시민은 “멀리 나가지 않아도 가까운 공원에서 아이들이 마음껏 뛰어놀 수 있는 고품격 프로그램이 마련되어 매우 즐거운 하루를 보냈다”며 만족감을 표했다.

논산시 관계자는 오늘 하루 주인공인 어린이들이 마음껏 웃고 즐기는 모습에서 논산의 밝은 미래를 보았다며, 아이들이 건강하고 행복하게 성장할 수 있는 실질적인 아동 정책을 지속적으로 발굴해 나가겠다고 전했다.
