더불어민주당 장기수 천안시장 예비후보가 제104회 어린이날을 맞아 ‘아동이 행복하고 부모가 안심하는 천안’을 만들기 위한 민생 행보에 박차를 가했다. 

장 후보는 5일 오전, 천안시민체육공원에서 열린 어린이날 기념행사장을 찾아 시민들과 인사를 나누며 현장의 생생한 목소리에 귀를 기울였다.

이날 현장에서 장 후보는 아동의 권익 보호와 맞벌이 부부의 실질적인 돌봄 부담 완화를 핵심으로 하는 ‘아동친화도시 천안’의 구체적인 비전을 제시해 눈길을 끌었다.

장 후보는 아이들이 마음껏 웃고 뛰어놀 수 있는 환경을 조성하는 것이 시정의 가장 중요한 과제이자 미래를 위한 투자라고 강조했다. 

특히 그는 맞벌이 가정의 현실적인 고충을 언급하며 '늦게까지 봐 드립니다’라는 슬로건 아래 아동 돌봄 시설을 대폭 확충하겠다고 약속했다.

그는 아이 한 명을 키우기 위해서는 마을 전체가 함께하는 돌봄이 필요하다며, 천안을 ‘함께 아이를 키우는 도시’로 탈바꿈시키겠다고 밝혔다.
